Roland went to Worthing Art College and it was the place he credited with giving him an experimental philosophy for life, he saw the way he lived his life as that of an artist and kept the sketch books he created around his time in Art School with him throughout his life. In hospital, whilst having his treatment for cancer he started on new sketch books. More than that though, Ro's ability to make the most out of life, whatever it brings to the last drop came I think from his creative spirit that thrived at Art School. Roland thought that everybody from all walks of life would benefit from going to Art School. It's maybe not a coincidence then that two of our Judges, Mikey Georgeson and Jackie White also went to Worthing Art College.
